The friendship and camaraderie of the membership, I believe, was second to none. Hopefully in the near future, we can attract new members, in order to help supplement the senior members, thus providing and inspiration for them, to continue playing and upping their game.

There were many highlights throughout the year, one of the best experiences was, getting our Captain to lose his virginity, (winning a trophy), for the first time. Well done Captain, and congratulations to all the winners in the Society.

Sincere thanks, to Chris Deane, who has worked tirelessly throughout the year. He has organised the matches, competitions, ordered meals, chased members to fulfil the numbers required. He was also very adept at informing me of my duties and responsibilities, for which I was very grateful.

Compliments go to our webmaster, our website is in excellent hands, thank you Jimmy, I hope you will be able to continue in the future.

I hope many of you will be able to attend the last few remaining social functions. Presidents evening at Beeston Field Golf Club on Friday 12^th February 2010, then the Annual Dinner on Friday 12^th March 2010. If anyone would like to attend the Nottingham Scottish Association dinner, it will be held at Goldsmith Street Masonic Lodge on Saturday 28^th November 2009.

Finally to all the members, thank you all very much for giving me the opportunity to serve you, I hope the year was as memorable for you, as it was for me. For all those who have played during the year, and whose attendance was greatly appreciated.
